it's a new year and one of my resolutions is to really become focused on my school work and career prep work. this includes more sketching, brainstorming, researching and sewing. this year, along with my school courses, i'm aiming to score an internship in toronto. since i have more living accomodations in toronto, i can more possibly live without working all summer. i'm currently searching for local design houses where i can learn about the process (from sketching and planning to manufacturing to sales). if it comes down to it, i think i have a chance to intern at sonny choi (evening and business wear) since julie's auntie works there! as of now i am still working on some sketches. i have craploads of fabric that i need to organize as well! this semester will be fun. looking forward to flat pattern where i will learn to draft my own patterns. i'm also taking some merchandising courses that will go towards my minor. i'm enjoying my break too much! as exciting as class sounds..i never want to go back to school! wish me luck in the new year..come back and visit.
